I’m Benedikt Huber, an AI Opportunity & Automation Consultant based in Munich, Germany, working with small and mid-sized businesses across Europe.
I help companies discover, prioritize, and validate where AI can create real business value — before they commit to large, risky projects.
Many business leaders know AI has potential, but struggle with questions like: Where should we start? Which use cases actually make sense for us? How do we know if it’s worth investing? That’s exactly where I come in.
Through short, focused AI Opportunity Sprints, I work with your team to uncover high-impact automation and optimization opportunities, quickly prototype the most promising ideas, and validate them with real data. You get clarity on what works, what doesn’t, and where AI can truly improve your bottom line.
With a Master’s degree in Computer Science and years of hands-on experience in machine learning and software engineering, I combine technical depth with business practicality. My goal isn’t to sell complex AI systems — it’s to help you make smart, confident AI decisions that move your business forward.
Practical. Strategic. Results-first AI for real businesses.
My path into AI and machine learning consulting wasn’t a straight line — it grew out of a curiosity for technology and a drive to solve real problems for people.
When I first started working, there weren’t many traditional opportunities in my network — but there were plenty of companies struggling with internal IT systems, websites, and data workflows. Helping them modernize those systems was how I began my career as a software engineer and IT consultant.
Over time, I worked across the full technology stack — from low-level programming and performance optimization to developing complete web and mobile platforms. This broad experience taught me what actually matters in business technology: reliability, simplicity, and measurable outcomes.
Around five years ago, I shifted my focus to machine learning and AI, working on projects from NLP and document automation to computer vision and optimization models. But over time, I noticed a consistent challenge — especially among small and mid-sized companies:
They knew AI had potential, but didn’t know where to start or how to use it profitably.
Many teams were stuck in the “proof-of-concept trap”: experimenting endlessly, but never achieving real impact.
That insight shaped the next step of my journey. Today, instead of building every model myself, I help businesses discover and validate where AI can truly move the needle — using proven frameworks, rapid prototypes, and clear ROI thinking.
With a strong foundation in software engineering, hands-on ML expertise, and a business mindset shaped by my background in investing, I bridge the gap between AI technology and business strategy. My goal is to help companies make smarter, faster AI decisions — grounded in real data and practical results.
My background combines hands-on technical depth with a strategic understanding of how AI creates business value.
I went on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, which gave me a solid grounding in software engineering, algorithms, and system design. After graduating, I took the leap into freelancing as an IT consultant, supporting clients with projects ranging from setting up internal IT systems to developing custom software tools.
I started working with technology early — spending summers in a family business and internships where I saw firsthand how IT supports real operations. That experience taught me something I still believe today: technology only matters when it solves real problems.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I began freelancing as an IT consultant and software engineer. I worked on projects ranging from internal IT systems to custom software and workflow tools — experiences that built a strong foundation in how businesses actually use (and struggle with) technology.
Later, I completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, focusing on machine learning and artificial intelligence. During that time, I dove deep into both academic research and practical projects — from NLP and computer vision to optimization and automation.
Over the past several years, I’ve helped companies build and test AI-driven solutions such as document automation, optimization models, and conversational systems. But what I found most valuable wasn’t just building models — it was helping clients figure out where AI would truly pay off.
That realization led me to focus on AI opportunity discovery and validation. Today, I use my blend of software engineering, machine learning, and business understanding to help SMEs identify high-impact use cases, design practical prototypes, and make confident, ROI-focused decisions about AI.
I stay on the cutting edge by experimenting with new tools, following research closely, and continuously testing how the latest AI advances can be applied in real business contexts.
My mission is simple:
to help small and mid-sized businesses discover where AI truly adds value — and validate it quickly, before investing heavily.
While large corporations can afford endless experiments, most SMEs need AI to deliver practical results — not hype. I believe this is where AI has the most meaningful impact: in helping real businesses work smarter, automate intelligently, and make better decisions with their existing resources.
I see AI not as a magic solution, but as a strategic tool for improving efficiency, accuracy, and growth. Whether that means finding automation opportunities in manual workflows or testing new AI-driven ideas, my goal is always the same: to create clarity, reduce uncertainty, and help my clients achieve measurable business outcomes.
My Values
– Clarity before complexity — I believe in plain language, realistic expectations, and transparent results. No jargon, no hype.
– Collaboration first — Great solutions come from understanding your business deeply. I work closely with teams to co-create ideas that actually fit their operations.
– Practical validation — Instead of long research projects, I focus on short, hands-on sprints that prove what works (and what doesn’t).
– Sustainable impact — My goal isn’t quick demos that get forgotten — it’s long-term value that continues to pay off as your business grows.
For many businesses, AI still feels complex, expensive, or uncertain. That’s why I follow a clear, structured approach designed to bring clarity fast — without unnecessary risk or cost.
My goal is to help you move confidently from AI curiosity to real business impact in a matter of weeks, not months.
1. Understand Your Business & Goals
Every collaboration starts with listening. I take the time to understand how your company works, where inefficiencies or data opportunities exist, and what “success” would mean for you. Instead of pushing technology, I look for ways AI can genuinely improve results or save time.
2. Identify High-Impact Opportunities
Together, we explore and prioritize areas where AI could add measurable value — from automating repetitive tasks to improving forecasting or decision-making. The goal is to find practical, high-ROI use cases that align with your business objectives and available data.
3. Validate With a Focused Proof of Concept
Before investing heavily, we run a short, hands-on AI Opportunity Sprint — a structured 3–4 week project that tests one promising idea using real data. You’ll quickly see what works, what doesn’t, and what’s worth scaling.
4. Decide & Scale With Confidence
Once the concept is validated, you’ll have a clear roadmap and business case for next steps — whether that’s building a full solution, integrating existing tools, or shelving the idea for now. My technical background ensures that, if you choose to move forward, the transition from prototype to production is smooth and practical.
5. Support & Continuous Discovery
AI evolves — and so do your opportunities. I stay available to help assess new ideas, refine existing models, or run follow-up sprints as your business and data grow.
The result:
A low-risk, high-impact process that gives you clarity, confidence, and measurable results — without the confusion or commitment of a full-scale AI project.
From idea to insight — fast, practical, and focused on real business value.
While AI and technology are my professional focus, there’s more to me than just work.
Outside of projects, I enjoy spending time in nature — whether it’s hiking through the mountains or recharging at the gym. I also have a strong interest in economics and financial markets, where I’ve been an active and passive investor for over 12 years. This passion goes beyond just numbers; I enjoy exploring algorithmic trading strategies, portfolio management approaches, and learning how capital can be deployed effectively — an interest that also shapes my business mindset.
Another important part of my life is giving back. I’m a co-founder of Bundesvereinigung Inklusion e.V. (BV-I), a non-profit that supports people with disabilities and special needs. Our mission is to give them a political voice and create projects that help them succeed and live more independently. This work keeps me grounded and reminds me why technology should ultimately serve people.
On a lighter note, I enjoy cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and I’ve even developed a bit of a reputation for my cakes. Friends and family often say they’re reason enough to come visit.
These personal passions — from hiking and investing to non-profit work and baking — all reflect who I am: curious, dedicated, and eager to make a positive impact, both professionally and personally.
